Flexible Before- and After-School Programs to Support Our Yick Wo Families
Yick Wo understands the needs of working families. As a late-start school, we offer both early morning care and enriching after-school programs to support busy schedules and provide a seamless day for your child.
Our before- and after-school programs, including partnerships with YMCA and other local organizations, ensure that students have a safe, engaging environment from morning until evening. Explore our options below to find the best fit for your family’s needs.
Before School Program (On-Site)
Program: YMCA Chinatown Team
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Location: On-Campus.
Access via the Jones Street entrance to the multipurpose room. Staff will greet and check in students.Fee: $200
Activities: Morning care includes supervised play, activities to get kids energized, and a calm environment to ease into the school day.
After-School Programs
On-Site:
Program: Chinatown YMCA at Yick Wo
Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Location: On-Campus.
Access via the Jones Street entrance to the multipurpose room.
Fee: $350 non-refundable deposit + Member $110 - Non-Member $125 per month
Off-Site:
Program: Tel-Hi Neighborhood Center (After School Academy)
Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $400/month (financial aid available based on eligibility)
Location: 660 Lombard Street

Program: Salesian Boys & Girls Club (Grades 3+)
Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $10/year
Location: 680 Filbert Street
Teachers will release students to designated programs in the upper yard, where students walk together to their aftercare destinations.
After School Enrichment classes
Fall after school enrichment classes start September 15th and end by December 12th.
Enrollment opens Wednesday, September 3rd at 8pm.

Yick Wo after school enrichment class FAQs
NEW: All afterschool enrichment students who are not currently enrolled in YMCA before or aftercare will need to enroll in a YMCA snack program before February 3rd. This program takes place from dismissal until 4pm when classes begin. There is no cost to participate. This program is only available to children signed up for afterschool enrichment. Your child’s teacher or I will reach out with more details.
Helpful tips:
Create an account on Homeroom before registration opens.
Sign up with an email address that you check every day. Email is used to move people from the waitlist and to communicate timely information like canceled classes.
Sign up close to when registration opens at 8pm on September 3rd.
Sign up for the wait list. We are often able to squeeze people in.
Be flexible if you can be. We may ask people to switch days for popular programs so everyone can participate.
Scholarship forms are now online. There are a limited number of spots available for each class.

益和課後進益課程的常見問題解答
新規定：所有目前尚未參加 YMCA 課前或課後託管的課後輔導學生都需要在 9 月 15 日之前參加 YMCA 零食計劃。該計劃從放學後一直進行到下午 4 點上課。參加無需任何費用。此計劃僅適用於報名參加課後輔導的孩子。您孩子的老師或我會與您聯繫並提供更多詳細資訊。
提示：
在接受報名日期開始之前，先在 Homeroom 上創建一個帳戶。
用您最常用的電郵地址進行報名。進益課程將使用電郵，通知等候名單的輪候，並通知課程取消等信息。
請盡量在 9 月 3 日晚上 8 點 報名開放後不久就登錄報名，名額常常很快就額滿。
報名加入等候名單。我們常常能夠把輪候者擠進去。
如果可以的話，請保持靈活性。我們可能會要求大家們改變參加進益班的日子，譬如網球等熱門項目，以便每個人都可以參加比賽。
